Manager, Sales Compensation
(Design and Analytics)

The Manager of Sales Compensation Design and Analytics reports to the Director of Sales Compensation Design and Analytics and will assist in the development of the sales compensation plan design, ensuring all plans align to company objectives and drive the desired behaviors that lead to strong company outcomes. The Manager will support the creation of training materials, communication documents, policy, and governance documents, and will perform the sales compensation plan effectiveness analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales Compensation team in their mission to provide best-in-class sales compensation plan design.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute sales incentive compensation plans that align with the right business outcomes to drive growth.
  • Develop and execute the sales incentive compensation plan analytics, assessing plan effectiveness and expenses. Contribute to presentations of findings to Sales Leaders and COO.
  • Create and distribute plan documents, plan calculators, and training materials for compensation program rollouts.
  • Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting. Be able to transform raw data into actionable business insights.
  • Participate in the issue resolution process for responding to escalated issues and questions concerning incentive compensation plan design and policies.
  • Support the development and implementation of Compensation Policies working with Finance, Legal, HR, Sales Operations and Sales and Client Services Management.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in quantitative major (finance, business, mathematics, statistics) preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of sales compensation experience in design and development.
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to navigate a large, complex organization with more than one revenue channel or sales division.
  • Meticulous, process-driven, and possess the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Performs well under pressure and can work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Challenges the status quo - always looking for ways to improve process or design effectiveness.
  • Maniacally detailed AND strategic at heart – you can roll up your sleeves, dig into the numbers AND you can partner with Leadership to solve challenges and design effective incentive compensation plans.
  • Skill to communicate effectively with internal and external customers of all levels.
  • Aptitude to analyze a situation, evaluate options, and solve problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with aggressive deadlines.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including use of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with incentive compensation automation tools, Xactly knowledge a big plus.
